n official agreement was signed, making it easier for students at the University of Lagos (Unilag) to study at the University of Birmingham, one of the top one hundred universities in the world.
The Foundation Programme of the University
of Lagos will now be accepted as entry qualifi- cations into the British university’s Biosciences, Environmental Science, Engineering and Law degrees.

Birmingham said: “International collaboration sits at the heart of the University of Birmingham and we are proud of our exten- sive links with leading universities throughout the world. The opportunity to work with a renowned West African institution, to offer a direct progression route for their foundation students to study at Birmingham, will provide students the opportunity to study in both
countries. We also look forward to exploring new ways in which both universities can col- laborate further in the future.” To celebrate the new partnership, the University of Birmingham will also be offering a number of scholarships worth up to 600,000 Naira per year.
