One of the most interesting boats on the coast is the torpedo stern TATIANA of Port Clyde, This boat was built by Willis Beals of Beals Island. She is being repaired at Jonesport Shipyard in Jonesport. Most of the work is just annual maintenance.

The Aage Neilson designed HARVEST is in for some structural work to her frames. They will also put in a new galley and update the electrical system.


There are several storage customers that will require more than their annual mainte- nance. One is a Herreshoff 34, which is homeported in Michigan. She is in for some minor upgrades.


The 8 metre QUEST is back for some minor details to be finished up. She will be shipped back to her home in Canada in the spring and ready for another racing season. Another boat back for storage is ZOGO. She had been at Yachting Solutions in Rockport who installed a new electric power system. She will get her annual maintenance and be ready for the water this spring.


John Williams Boat Company at Hall Quarry on Mount Desert Island has a couple


of interesting projects underway. In the shop is a Stanley 36 which they finished off in 1980. She is back to have a new platform put in, which will be done using fir. They will also be adding a lot of soundproof- ing. Once this is complete they will do all of the interior and exterior varnish, and add new fuel tanks. Then she will head for the paint booth where her hull, deck, house and shelter will be Awlgripped


A 38-foot fiberglass Concordia is in to have a bottom job. Her bottom has been soda blasted, which was done by Frank Stanley and now they will put on the barrier coat. She will also have her electronics upgraded and her annual maintenance.


A W-46 was in and had her Hall spar built mast removed, stripped and Awlgripped. They will also do her annual maintenance.
