Jerome carved the hull plug from sign-makers foam and created a mould and then a plastic hull. The deck structure and a lot of the details are plastic sheet material. The only commercial fittings used are the two brass propellers and four tiny valve wheels. She also sports a fully detailed wheel house. As for hours...Jerome said too many, but close to 1,200 and took over the last year and a half to complete.

boat fleet will qualify for their own start. This is a great regatta to enter if you have never raced before as the Race Committee takes great care in assigning boats to the correct division.

The committee will be finalizing the party details over the next couple of months. The coveted Yellow Jerseys will be handed out

each evening to the day’s winning skippers. Yellow Jerseys must be worn during the fol- lowing day’s competition – penalties will be assessed, if the skipper does not abide the dress code!

Pre-registration is now open! Go to www.penobscotbayrendezvous.com.
