Sapori Di Napoli Restaurant
Imagine yourself on the coast of Italy. A cool summer breeze flows through your hair while you take a bite of the best piece of pizza you’ve ever had. Now open your eyes. Welcome to Sapori Di Napoli – minus the whole Italy part. Sapori di Napoli, located on 314 Church Street, is a piece of Italy thrown into Decatur. Tis isn’t a cheap imi- tation either. Daniele and Ambrogio Florio, co-founders and brothers, are genuine Italians, so they know a little about Italy. After sitting down the aroma of fresh Italian pizza
fills the air, making your stomach growl in anticipation. But the wait is worth it. After taking the first bite, your mouth will explode with fresh Italian flavor. By the time you take the second bite, you will want to savor every moment. Later, when the waiter comes back and asks you if you want a box, I promise, you won’t need one. At the top of the menu is the 15-inch margarita pizza,
the pizza that blew my mind. Te pizza features mouth watering tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. On every pizza, you’ll find a thin crust cooked in a wood fired oven. Te menu also offers a large selection of pastas, calzones and salads. When you finally finish, you won’t want to go back to
any other pizza place again. Te best piece of pizza you will ever have is waiting for you at Sapori Di Napoli. – Sam McLemore
A Very She and Him Christmas Album by She and Him
A perfect addition to add to your indie Christmas list,
“A Very She and Him Christmas” brings Zooey Descha- nel’s quirky voice to holiday classics. With an ideally- timed release, the album brings a more delicate side to Christmas songs with M. Ward’s soulful undertones that perfectly harmonize with Deschanel’s calming voice. If you want something for the relaxing side of Christmas, “Te Christmas Waltz” is an unfamiliar yet classic-sounding track that is perfect for cozying up and watching the snow fall. Like sugar cookies and mistletoe, “A Very She and Him Christmas” is a sweet and worthwhile surprise. – Lucy Phipps-Kaye
Mylo Xyloto Album by Coldplay
It begins like a fairytale story, with fanciful notes and a playful beat. Te first song,
“Mylo Xyloto” lasts less than a minute and blends with the second song, “Hurts Like Heaven”. As the album continues, a general story forms as each track flows together, with each song reminiscent of the first. Te album sounds like it could be the musical interpretation of a futuristic Peter Pan. In the song “Charlie Brown”, front-man Chris Martin sings about going downtown where the lost boys meet. In the piece, “Major Minus”, Martin murmurs, “Hear those crocodiles ticking ‘round the world”. Te last ballad, “Up With the Birds”, could reference how Peter’s ship sails away into the sky. Mylo Xyloto, Martin told Slant Magazine, depicts two lovers in a dystopian urban future. Maybe the two can be imagined as Wendy and Peter, or maybe it’s an unrelated fantasy. Whatever the case may be, Coldplay managed to create an album that strums the heart strings.
