Find a good “Hardware Store”

home. I was so lucky to have found Papeschi. That shop saved me. I think for about a month I went into that store at least 2x a day! I bought everything from screws, dowels, lamps, curtain rods, faucets, wood for our deck, paint, special cleaning solutions and the list goes on and on. I think that there is practically nothing that Papeschi doesn’t have. And if you can’t find something, just look for one of their friendly staff and explain to them what you are looking for and they will lead you in the right direction or personally bring you there. Their service is impeccable! BUT Papeschi is more than just a hardware store. They have more than 50 years of experience in interior design and planning; working in the private, public and commercial sectors.

Work with people who respond promptly to your calls (for help) … especially if they are plumbers! Termo clima is based in the Florence area. They did all the plumbing work and installation related to our solar panel system.

ou cannot imagine how many things you need when you are moving into a newly built

tall to fit into the basement, I called Stefano and Fabio from Progetto Legno and explained to them that I needed to have the closet picked up at my house, cut to size and delivered before the movers left the next day so that they could assemble it for me before they left. And even though Progetto Legno had already

partially shut down for summer vacation, they resolved the problem immediately for me! Don’t go crazy searching for a craftsman, if

When we suddenly heard water gushing in our

backyard at 2am (on a weekend) and saw that it was coming out of a pipe connected to the 600L hot water boiler, we obviously went into a panic, not knowing why the heck it was coming out or where to turn it off. Bernardo and Piero from Termo Clima were there A.S.A.P. to help us out. They quickly resolved the problem, which thankfully was nothing serious and had nothing to do with the system. Phew! But it sure is good to know that they are there when you need them!!

Try to work with local companies. I was so glad that my carpenter was close by. When my closet arrived with the moving company and we realized that it was 10cm too

there’s one who works closely with a company you trust. Roberto Borello is an amazing and creative craftsman who not only is a painter, but also works with “cartongesso” – transforming your living space, room or office right before your eyes. He works closely with Stefano from Progetto Legno and I figured if Stefano is happy with his work and recommends Roberto, I am sure I will be too; and I was!

Patience is a virtue

greatly appreciated; especially that one time my kids dumped a container of pretzels all over his showroom floor! He was always available to answer the millions of questions I had and provide me with helpful solutions.
