AIRSAFE™ HITCH I started out looking for a


TRANSFER FLOW I installed a 50-gallon auxiliary fuel tank


from TransferFlow that fi ts in the front of my truck bed. Tanks from 37 to 98 gallons are available for both diesel and gas pickups, in black aluminized steel and aluminum diamond plate. What is unique about this product is a sophisticated computer-controlled system called TR X-II™. T e unit is placed near your dashboard and gives you the readings of your main tank fuel, auxiliary fuel tank and total combined. your brakes burning when going down a long steep hill. You can really wear out your truck brakes in those situations, so I was looking for something better—and I found it! The Max Brake uses a “continuous variable brake control


system,” which means it is 100% proportional. When I step on my truck brakes, the system applies the same braking level on my trailer. You set it one time, and then everything basically works off the brake-pedal pressure. Some people like the trailer to brake a lit le more than the truck and vice versa, and you can control that by set- ting the “gain” on the computer unit that is placed in your truck cab. T e results are smooth and controlled. Basically, the harder you press your


brake pedal, the harder your trailer brakes will be applied, which is really more of a natural way to control your brakes rather than experiencing the grabbing and jerky motion when the trailer brakes kick in OR having to use the gain on the brake controller to slow down the trailer without burning up your truck brakes. Hands down, the MaxBrake is amazing, and takes my anxiety level down

“beefier” hitch for my truck and trailer, but when I came across the Air Suspension Hitch, it was clear to me this was worth the investment. You can get one for either bumper pull or gooseneck—mine was bum- per pull. First, I was impressed by the high quality of workmanship—these babies are built to last just about forever. T ese are like the air hitches you see on the big semi-trucks in a scaled-down version to use on a lighter-duty truck with trailer. It fi t easily into my Class V Hitch Receiver. T en you just pump air into the air cylinder until the rods on the unit are level, and that’s it! T e bumper pull has a regular ball at the end to hook to your trailer; you can get a raised or dropped ball to suit your needs. Bottom line: what this amazing hitch does is


eliminate vibrations, bumping, jerking, etc., so that your trailer pulls like a dream. You do not even feel it back there—it is so much easier on your truck, and can you imagine how nice that is for your horses! I would go over railroad tracks and never feel the trailer behind me. On one road trip, I blew a tire on my trailer and never even knew it! I don’t know how long I had driven with it fl at until someone pulled up alongside me and yelled “blown tire!” T e guys at the trailer place and the RV mechanics were blown away when they saw it.
