WILTON ENGINEERING SERVICES

THE DESIGN, FABRICATION AND CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST HAS AGAIN CAPPED ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR OF GROWTH BY RETAINING A PRESTIGIOUS BUSINESS AWARD The company, part of the

HISTORY

internationally operating Wilton Group was named winner of the fastest growing large business title in the 2011 Ward Hadaway fastest 50 Awards

The awards recognises enterprises in the North East of England that have achieved the strongest sales growth in recent years. Middlesbrough based and focused on the offshore, renewables and petrochemicals industries, won the same accolade in the 2010 awards, when it secured the fastest growing North East company title.

Group Chief Executive Bill Scott stated that “the recognition will undoubtedly add even greater momentum to broaden our service portfolio and is testimony to the hard work, commitment and flair of everyone associated with Wilton Engineering”

The company also came ninth in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 100 league table.

The group, with it’s strong position in the North East and having opened a facility in Dundee sees itself in a lead position to take advantage of the accelerating Offshore Wind renewables market in both the English and Scottish sectors.

As a founder member of the North East of England’s Renewable Group, “Energi Coast” the company is looking to expand its services in this sector.

The Wilton Group was established in 1994 with the formation of Wilton Engineering Services Ltd, providing quality fabrication and site services for the Offshore and Petrochemical Industries and was strengthened in 1999 with the formation of our shot blasting and coatings division Universal Coatings Ltd.

In 2006 the Port Clarence Offshore Base. was purchased with large undercover fabrication and painting halls, external fabrication capability and quayside frontage and in 2008 PD&MS joined the group giving project management and design capabilities.

The Wilton Group can now provide a complete service from project management, design, procurement, fabrication, commissioning and testing through to load out, delivery and installation. We are thus in an ideal position to develop within the Renewable Offshore Wind sector.
