Continental Blue
After Howard County-Iron Bridge Jt.-MFH Roger Scullin (second from left) awarded member Chris Aitken (third from left) her club colors by dropping her button into a den after the fox had gone to ground, the two pose with huntsman David Pick- ett (left) and Jt.-MFH Don Reuwer (right). The Masters are sporting continental blue (instead of “pinks”) in honor of the up- coming 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the subsequent im- portation of Mountain and Muse, to whose bloodlines all American Foxhounds can be traced. The continental blue is also a salute to our founding father, George Washington, who is said to have worn his continental blues whenever he foxhunted.
