by Michelle L. Casto

Think about this—everyone is searching for something to help them feel happy and joyful. If we did not each come in with a Purpose encoded within us, then what are we all searching for? It’s that yearn- ing within us that compels us to continue through the thick and thin of life’s experiences.

When we know our Purpose, we have an anchor—a device of the mind and a correlating feeling, or knowing, in our heart that provides some shelter from the storms of life. ing to make a radical move across the country to start a brand new chapter in our life. On the other hand, a clearly defined Purpose provides meaning, direction, and significance.

Discovering one’s Purpose is like cutting a diamond. Just like every gem-quality diamond has within it a ready-made design, waiting to be discovered, so do you. The secret is to discover and actualize your unique pattern. As a diamond needs to be excavated and polished to have worth, similarly, you have to dig deep within yourself to discover your Destiny. Just as a diamond requires friction, in order to become transpar- ent and shine, you too need trials and tribulations to become a clear conduit for the Divine.
