for 90 years Jelf Insurance Brokers has announced that it has been awarded Chartered Status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) – an achievement that confirms Jelf’s commitment to supporting the professional development of its people and delivering outstanding levels of service to its clients
Jelf’s wealth management division, Jelf Financial Planning, has held the prestigious status of Chartered Financial Planners since 2008 – one of only 306 IFA firms in the UK to be accredited to this level.
Commenting on the news, Jelf’s CEO Alex Alway said: “We are tremendously proud that now both our financial planning and our insurance businesses are fully chartered. It strongly supports our client proposition and our aim to be an employer of choice. The investment we’ve made in technical training, our Sales Academy, our Sales Leadership Academy and our bespoke training and competence framework, Inside Edge, formed the platform for achieving this milestone.

In 2006 Jelf acquired the town’s well-known insurance company Goss & Co. established in 1921, which means the business has been present in Reading in various guises for an astonishing 90 years. As part of the company’s commitment to excellence in the Thames Valley, it has recently launched a business development campaign in Reading.
