The AIDS/HIV Services Group (ASG) began 25 years ago as a local response to the HIV epidemic. We remain committed to building community for people living with, affected by, or at risk for HIV or AIDS. ASG provides professionally-staffed wellness programs such as mental health support, free HIV testing, personalized goal-setting counseling, and care coordination regardless of ability to pay or HIV status.

The mission of the Central and Western Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is to eliminate the incurability of Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, and to enhance the care and support for individuals, their families, and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Our vision is to create a world where Alzheimer’s disease becomes curable and preventable while we continue to optimize the quality of life for those affected with the disease, as well as their loved ones and families.

Blue Ridge Medical Center is a Community Health Center committed to providing health care to medically underserved residents of Nelson County and surrounding communities. We accept most insurances, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare. In addition to offering primary care to all local residents, BRMC offers special programs that target patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

We have completely outgrown our current facility, and in 2010 we began an expansive construction project to house medical operations and add dental services. We are continuing to work to raise the remaining $1.8 million needed for the expansion.
