my dilemma. I think it’s now called “networking”, but to me it was just simply calling everyone I knew, and then calling everyone they knew. Miracles can happen and one did… A friend of a friend of a friend has an older horse they
our house. She makes her own list of our chores and as- signs work for both of us. The new approach is one I quite like since she realizes full well that with my work schedule and house responsibilities I cannot possibly take on too much more. So she merrily writes down the things we will do each week, making her list much longer than mine. At first I thought it was quite cute and charming, and
plan to retire in the spring, after Thermal. Sunday for the horse presentation to her and I am sure we will all cry the entire way home. Till then I will NOT tell her for two reasons. One: because I cherish the wonder- ful new energy on her part to work and fulfill a goal, and two: I quite like watching her determination and tenacity at work. For me it is astounding every day to see how she is grow-
ing up in a world that for her is far from perfection or easy. It is wonderment in action as she displays the commit- ment to work for something she loves…a soul companion in the form of a four legged friend, a horse! Yes, miracles can happen!
