Letters toWT

Win-Win for the Gene Pool I am responding to Scot Tolman’s “Warmblood Whoas” column in May, in which he described how he literally ran into Daniel Craig. Sorry, sir, but judging from your photo, you look like a very nice man, and your amiable articles only confirm me in this opinion. However, I do not believe Mr. Craig was intimidated; it sounds like he was simply being polite. So apparently in addition to being handsome and talented, Mr. Craig is courteous and thoughtful as well. This sounds like a win-win for the gene pool to me. Let’s not forget that while conformation is important, character is vital as well! Sarah Gilmer Payne, Martin, GA

Daring and Devoted Dad I really have to thank you for letting Erica [Larson] write that story about Lance and me for your Sport Horse Snippets column (March/ April 2011). She had kept it a total secret from me, so needless to say I was stunned when that issue showed up. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 15 minutes of fame! And what a great

Readership Survey Below are some unsolicited compliments gathered from our first readership survey completed early in May. A special “thank you” to everyone who participated. The survey results are amazing.

“I love the magazine. What I do like about it over all the other magazines out there is its focus on the love people have for the horses, why they own them, the struggles they sometimes go through. It is nice that it doesn’t focus solely on the competitive aspect—too many magazines are just about who won this or that.”

“I think your coverage now is excellent, covering all aspects of Warmbloods. I am always better informed after reading your magazine.”

“Everything is great!! It’s the only magazine I have ever subscribed to that I actually read every issue cover to cover!”

“I love the magazine as it is. You publish useful information.”

“I love the Conformation Corner. I am ‘old time’ hunter jumper trainer, and need to get up to speed on the Warmblood breeding. That column is a great help for me.”

“I run a boarding facility—all of my clients love your magazine!!”

“I really enjoy this magazine. Conformation Corner is a favorite.”

idea this column is. For an equestrian nobody like me with a really cool horse to have their story told in a publication that features world class riders and their world class horses is amazing! Thanks again.

Keith Larson, Howell, MI “I really enjoy the funny Warmblood Whoas at the end.”

“I have found that Warmbloods Today is one of the magazines I will grab first when reading. Everything about this magazine is great and very informational.”

“The magazine is enjoyable with a nice range of articles. The physical quality of the magazine itself is excellent and looks great on a coffee table. You cannot help but pick it up!”
