Alliance. “Each panel spans the full height floor-to-floor to minimise the number of frames and reinforce the building’s flush appearance. We wanted to convey a bold, symbolic statement by achieving a façade that has simple yet elegant proportions.” Dressing the seamless glass and sandblasted panels, an impressive pre-programmable LED lighting system brings the façade to life at night with eye-catching hues of colour. Fabrics evoke classic vintage hotel decks while custom high- back lounge chairs and Corian planters are arranged into pockets of seating. At the heart of the lounge, a wrap-around bar is topped with rare delirium granite – the first usage of this unusual coloured vein in Canada – and lined internally with lavender glass. urban property, has sought to achieve a balance, 050 SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2011
