NEWS ALEX CONQUERS EUROPE

Well done to Alex Flynn, who completed a 1,457-mile traverse across Europe to raise funds for the Cure Parkinson’s Trust. Alex (featured in July’s RF) was joined by Dave Clamp, a former Team GB triathlete. Their European challenge

involved the equivalent of 20 marathons in 10 days and the pair returned in 30 days and four hours. Alex said: “It was as hard as I

thought it would be and more! You don’t realise how far you’ve run until it takes two and a half days to drive back!” In the three years since his diagnosis with the condition, Alex, 39, has run 3,500,000 metres and raised £40,865. He’s aiming to run 10,000,000 metres. His next challenge is his first

Ironman – Challenge Henley - on September 18th.
