Celebrate National Estuaries Day at Rookery Reserve

eptember 24 will mark a special oppor- tunity to learn, experience and celebrate our es- tuarine research


reserves. As part of National Estuaries Day, Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, in Naples, will host half-hour boat and guided kayak trips and family- friendly land-based activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Boat passengers must be at least four feet tall. Kayak participants must be 12 or older and meet height and weight requirements; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tours of the science labs and marine critters touch tank, guided trail walks, face painting and other activities will also be offered.
