Walkers step out for lost dogs
A SPONSORED dog walk was sup- ported by 15 dogs and their owners in Nevill Park, Snodland. Similar walks in aid of the Dog Lost Charity, organised by Tonbridge and Malling Council, have also been held in Borough Green, East Malling and Tonbridge. Tamsin Ritchie, environmental proj-
ects coordinator, who took her dog, Alfie, on the walk, said: “It is a social event bringing dogs and people to- gether for a community project in Snodland.” Sammy Jo Bell of Simpson Road, pictured (right) with King, said: “My dog is not very sociable. He kept pulling on his lead when he was walk- ingbesideme, butheismuchim- proved.” After the walk, dog warden Lorraine Basede, offered a freemicro-chipping service. A council spokeswoman said £42 was raised to help pay for the vet fees for stray dogs in the borough that are not claimed by their owners.
