24 years of work—paintings, prose and poetry— gives everyone the opportunity to see firsthand how much fun she has had enjoying the creative process. The San Diego resident holds a master’s degree in fine art from the Otis College of Art and Design and is also the former co-owner and sole artist of Pinx A Card Company, a greeting card business. The Greet- ing Card Association has honored McCaffery with four LOUIE awards, the industry’s equivalent of an Oscar.
Soon to be a
certified instructor of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, Mc-
Caffery’s gentle approach to instructing her students reflects that of Dr. Betty Edwards, author of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. “Like Betty, I believe that art is teachable to anyone who has a desire to learn,” says McCaffery. “If you can learn to read and write, you can learn to do any art form.”
