Carnival capers
CROWDS enjoyed a magical day as Bearsted and Thurnham Carnival and Fayre provided all the attractions of a traditional village celebration. The theme of the fun-packed
day was “It’s magic” and the fancy dress parade of floats and walking groups included fairies, elves, and magicians. Now in its 31st year, the fayre
is expected to have raised around £5,000 this year for local good causes. Its main charity, the V team, provides tasks such as gardening, deco- rating and DIY for the elderly
