School is given healthy award
THE Healthy Schools Award has again been given to Looe Community School after it was recently re-assessed.
The national initiative reflects on all aspects of the school environment which involve health and learning combined, from the emotional and physical to food and nutrition.
Senior deputy head Tom Sadler said he was delighted that the school has once again been given the award.
‘It reflects on everyone involved at the school in this field, including pastoral staff, Jan Woodman in health and nutrition, the school cook Cath Darlington, and the physical education department,’ he said.
