The New Jersey Association of Parking Authorities and Agencies was founded in 1967 to solve the challenges of providing business, residential and public parking in the state. Its purpose is to plan, promote, and develop proce- dures and legislation for the betterment of park- ing in New Jersey, which has national applica- tion. Its objective is to further the growth of parking knowledge and the advancement of parking related technology through the partici- pation of its members.
The association recognizes outstanding service by New Jersey elected and appointed govern- ment officials. Its board of directors bestows four awards, the NJ Legislator of the Year and the Government Official of the Year, the A.J. Ward Achievement Award in recognition of advancing professional in parking industry and the Lee Ordelli Award in recognition of a mem- ber’s outstanding service to the NJPI.
The New Jersey Parking Institute, a division of NJAPA&A, provides its members with opportu-
nities to meet other professionals to solve today’s challenges and exchange innovative
ideas.Members receive a listing of vendors and consultants. The New Jersey Parking Institute is an educational institution the offers training seminars.
