MEMBERS: Currently the association has approximately 120 members rep- resenting public agencies, hospi- tals, colleges, universities, and commercial operators.


TheMPA is a statewide organization interested in assisting and aiding association members in fostering up-to-date understanding of parking principles and practices to provide a forum for sharing and disseminating information specific to the parking industry.


TheMichigan Parking Associationwas founded in 1982. Ted Perez was instrumental in organiz- ing the initial meeting. Approximately 20 people met at the Holland, MI, organizational get- together. In the fall of 1982, the first annual busi- ness meeting was held. Since that time, the MPA has grown and prospered. Activities have included hands-on technical training sessions for member and their employees, workplace violence seminars, spring and fall meetings, annual conferences and golf outings.
