THE BATTERY SHOW CONFERENCE WELCOME

THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE TECHNOLOGY AND THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND THE BUSINESS

As the world begins to adopt electric and hybrid vehicles and rely increasingly on renewable resources to satisfy its thirst for power, the battery industry stands to benefi t from an unprecedented level of growth. Addressing these key issues, The Battery Show Conference, across two separate tracks, will examine the market and future business opportunities, and evaluate how technical advances are likely to impact performance, safety, and cost.

TRACK 1: BATTERY BUSINESS CONFERENCE

Track 1 of The Battery Show Conference will analyze how the market for advanced batteries is set to develop, as well as discussing the business implications of technical innovation. With discussions on how the advanced battery market for alternative energy and fl eet/consumer vehicles will advance over the next 5 years, The Battery Show Business Conference will help you shape your business decisions, ensuring you stay ahead of your competitors. Addressing key questions such as: will second life batteries really support stationary power applications after a life on the road? And how can 21st century technology overcome 20th century regulatory barriers? The Battery Business Conference will host Dr. Ali Nourai of KEMA, Wednesday, October 26, 9.30AM, and David Weinberg, Chair of the Environment and Safety Practice at Wiley Rein, Tuesday, October 25, 12.15PM.

Also, look out for Dr. Ravi Shanker, CEO of Dow Kokam, he will be analyzing

partnerships for creating the second transportation revolution. And fi nd out which battery chemistry is best suited for electric fl eet vehicles as Jeff DeFrank, CTO of ALTe and a panel of experts discuss, Wednesday, October 26, 9.30am

TRACK 2: BATTERY TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE

Track 2 of The Battery Show Conference will showcase and highlight the latest product developments, compare differing battery technologies in line with various applications, whilst previewing next generation battery materials and chemistries. Engineers from across the world will be able to compare and contrast the value of new materials on their product, whilst discovering future OEM requirements for their advanced batteries. Will improvements in energy density,

safety and cost come from active or inactive

components? Robert Galyen,

President of Magna E-Cars Testing Lab and Glynne Townsend, President and CEO of the Townsend Company frame both sides of the argument, at The Battery Show Conference this October.
