“Doyle Clayton has taken time to learn our company’s nuances. They take a commercially focused approach to settling problems rather than stating the facts without understanding the business’ realities, so we can be confident that we will receive solutions tailored to our needs rather than a ‘one size fits all’ answer.”

• Three new management appointments at high-tech engineering company LTi Metaltech have given a boost to the Oxfordshire company’s expansion plans. Edgar Rayner, Tim Arbuthnot and Theo Becker (left to right above) bring with them in-depth knowledge of the precision engineering and high-tech manufacturing sectors and are seen by the company as a step towards achieving its goal of transferring its precision engineering and welding skills into new applications in cryogenics, renewables and the nuclear sectors. Currently, LTi Metaltech produces high-performance vessels and structures for the healthcare sector. Rayner’s role as engineering manager will see him leading a team of engineers as new products are introduced and, at the same time, reviewing and streamlining existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality. He makes the move from Siemens Magnet Technology in Eynsham. Arbuthnot and Becker are both new recruits from GE Healthcare, Oxford, and previously worked for Siemens Magnet Technology when it was formerly Oxford Magnet Technology. Arbuthnot takes on the new position of sourcing and planning manager, heading up the purchasing and materials department, with added responsibility for production planning. Production manager Becker will be responsible for day-to- day operational manufacturing activity and ensuring delivery times for customers are met.

Whyte now leads a specialist interim HR team placing mid- to-senior level managers in interim roles throughout the UK. Together with Hooper, the team also includes Amanda Luke, who has been with Archer Mathieson since 2007, and recent newcomer Lucy Martin.

• Fallowfields Country House Hotel and Restaurant in Kingston Bagpuize has announced the arrival of Shaun Dickens from L’Ortolan in Shinfield, where he worked for two years with Alan Murchison. Prior to that, he spent three years at Oxfordshire’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and two years at Per Se in New York. Dickens has also worked with Gordon Ramsay at The London in New York, Michel Roux Junior at Le Gavroche and Daniel Boulud at Daniel. In 2009 he was a finalist in the Young National Chef of the Year competition and in 2010 he won the title for the south west region and came third overall nationally. Dickens said: “I am at a point in my career where I needed a project, and Fallowfields, with its farm, orchards and kitchen garden, is a chef’s dream turned true. So when I saw Fallowfields was looking, I just knew this was the job for me ... the journey starts here.”
