Support for Thames Valley Young Entrepreneurs
All young entrepreneurs in the Thames Valley, take note! Some helpful social networking sites have been set up especially for you to provide support and ideas and there is a great free competition to enter, offering valuable business rewards
You have until July 31 to enter the Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition (HWYE), which is open to anyone aged 30 or under in the Thames Valley area (Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire).
More information is available on the website at
www.hwye.co.uk* along with a blog and tricks and tips. Entrepreneurs can also join the HWYE Facebook and Twitter sites where like-minded people are sharing news, ideas and thoughts. Popular topics currently include getting funding, understanding financial matters like cashflow, marketing and mastering time management.
Jane Gregory of Haines Watts said: “We are delighted that the HWYE sites are giving young entrepreneurs a platform for sharing ideas, concerns and successes. In addition those who enter this competition gain free membership of Nigel Botterill’s Entrepreneur’s Circle, which provides further support. The regional competition winners also receive a year’s free mentoring from an experienced partner at Haines Watts, as well as prize money, so it’s worth entering before it’s too late.
“Whether or not you are one of our finalists or a winner, the simple process of putting together a business case to present to others in order to persuade them that you are a worthy entrant will definitely help you to grow your business skills.”
The competition is open to anyone who is 30 or under and who runs any type of business in the Thames Valley region. If this doesn’t apply to you, you might know someone – a friend, son or daughter, niece or nephew – who would benefit from the opportunity.
There are no set criteria as to who we are looking for. Last year’s winner happened to be a very established business run by a young man and his two business partners with amazing vision. But he was up against
