St Eustachius Grand Summer Fete Saturday 18th June 2011 10am - 4pm
Bright summer sunshine in 2010 helped to make the first Summer Fete an outstanding success and hopefully the 2011 event will be equally blessed with fine weather. The Fete is organised by the Friends of St Eustachius’ and will be held again in the picturesque churchyard, right in the centre of our historic town, on Saturday the 18th June. There will be an opening ceremony at 10 a.m. and the aim is to provide a fun day out for all of the family. A big attraction for young people will be a bouncy castle but there should be something to suit all tastes. Stalls will include a coconut shy, face painting, tombola and various games of skill to challenge all comers and perhaps you will be a lucky winner in the Grand Prize Draw. Visitors will not go hungry as there will be a burger and hot dog stand nearby, together with other refreshments, teas, coffees etc. An added attraction this year will be an art exhibition to be sited within the church. There will be no entry charge and the fete is planned to close at 4 p.m. All profits for the day will be used to help maintain our beautiful parish church.
