SNOW LANTERNS

Me thinks the graceful snowdrop is fashioned out of snow: the lanterns of an icy land that light-up with drops of moonlight glow.

Me thinks the little droplet buds await the lazy winter’s sun,

as well me thinks ‘how beautiful’ that out dismal winter’s naked gloom

such enchanting soft white petalled clusters, so stately, dare to bloom.

Me thinks they are a fantasy of orbit’s imaginative grace that floats to earth on gentle sculptured snowflakes to re-endorse their earthly place.

I may be wrong, it may just be, that

snowdrops are descendants of a floral earthly vein that illume to give the winters drab a link to nature’s chain and, in its quest to cheer the gloom

we are bestowed with heavenly gems from winter’s ivy-clinging tomb ...

But

Me thinks the graceful snowdrop is fashioned out of snow: The lanterns of an icy land that light-up with drops of moonlight glow.
