2 0 0 0 , t h e two person operation at Experience and Creative Design, Ltd. moved from its original location on Jay Street, around the corner to 510 Union Street, taking over a vacant building which previously housed a grocery store cal led The Trading Port. With limited time in re- opening the store at the new location, and with the inaugural ‘Open House’ quickly approaching in the coming weeks, the owners and staff of 10 had only 30 days to establish this unforgettable “Experience.” For each Open House that the store does (winter, spring and fall), a complete overhaul of inventory is made and over 25 store displays are entirely changed in the 8,000 square foot space. With numerous hours and much dedication from many helping hands on


deck, the first annual ‘Open House’ became a reality and created an event in downtown Schenectady that admi r e r s o f the unique and eclectic collection flock to annually. In 2010, the Spring Open House attracted over 500 people to downtown Schenectady over a two-day period. The 2011 event will take place Saturday, March 26th March 27th
