21212 RESTAURANT with ROOMS

Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms, 21212 brings together an exciting and unparalleled combination of exquisite dining and five star luxury accommodation in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, minutes away from the main shopping area.

Opened in May 2009 by Paul Kitching and his partner Katie O’Brien, 21212 has received critical acclaim with the dining experience described in the press as ‘an indulgence that will leave you awestruck’. Only months after opening, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star while the four individually designed bedrooms blew away the judges at the Scottish Style Awards when 21212 received the honour as the Most Stylish Hotel in Scotland.

Situated on a gorgeous Georgian Terrace, 21212’s four beautifully appointed large bedrooms, with dedicated lounge areas, are split over the two upper levels of the building, offering commanding views over the gardens to the rear and stunning views of the city of Edinburgh to the front. On a clear day, bedrooms 1 and 21 also offer views to the Firth of Forth and beyond.

The dining experience at 21212 gives diners the opportunity to try the unique, weekly-changing, menu that the restaurant is renowned for. Paul and his team of seven chefs can be watched hard at work through a purpose made glass partition which separates the kitchen from the majestic dining room. Private dining is also available in the Ate and Pod areas of 21212.
