California American Water Appoints New Diverse Procurement Manager

alifornia American Water has appoint- ed Dhana “Holley” Joy as its new


Supplier Diversity Manager. Holley brings more than two decades of supply and cus- tomer service experience to the job. “I look forward to the positive results


that her extensive industry experience will bring to our ambitious and diverse pro- curement program here.” She will be charged with expanding


outreach to diverse vendors in the state as well as boosting overall procurement with them throughout the company’s supply chain. She will be based in the company’s Coronado headquarters. In 1988, the CPUC passed General Or-


der 156, outlining the relationship be- tween utilities and diverse suppliers and establishing goals for participation for in- vestor-owned water companies. The ap- pointment of Holley Joy will allow Cali- fornia American Water to continue to expand its leadership in supplier diversi- ty.

tract manager for a major supplier clear- ing house in Los Angeles. Before that, she was director of operations and business development for SMS Transportation ser- vices in Riverside. She has a degree in business adminis-


tration from LaVerne University in Cali- fornia.
