development for more than a year, Triple Crown™ Training Formula is high in digestible fiber, and helps to lower soluble carbohydrates to a moderate level of 22.5 percent. It is the first Triple Crown feed to contain fish oil and flaxseed, which
dramatically increase the level of omega-3 fatty acids. Research has found that feeding a diet higher in omega-3 fatty acids decreases inflammatory responses following exercise. A recent study at the Michigan
State University Department of Large Animal Sciences on supplementation of fish oil to the equine diet determined that fish oil had an effect on plasma fatty acid levels and lameness. According to the study, horses given
fish oil over a 75-day period showed higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids in their blood, and had an increased length of stride. Omega-3 fatty acids also reduce inflammation.
