We’re Searching for a Commenter…

After the controversial story broke in January 2011 about the 450 head of Jim Leachman’s Hairpin Cavvy horses being extremely short on feed and care, we followed the articles and blog comments in the Billings Gazette about the condition of the horses and the response by the Northern International Livestock

The commenter had seen a photo of a bay horse in the Leachman herd carrying the Cross T brand...

Exposition (NILE) to provide feed to these quarter horses. We were intrigued by a blog comment with the identifying

name of “Cross T brand.” The blogger had seen a photo of a bay horse in the Leachman herd carrying the Cross T brand; and stated that his or her family had bred that horse. They also stated that the horse will turn 21 this spring, and that the family still owns the horse’s sire and a maternal aunt. They desperately wanted to obtain the bay horse from Jim Leachman, and we would like to know the rest of the story… were they able to? If you know of the owner of the Cross T brand,

please have them contact Rocky Mountain Rider’s editorial department at 800-509-1537.
