Dear Reader,

The strength of Eyes in Magazine lies in its global view and openness to any art, design or cultural stream made possible by innovative creators, and our global travels have manifested to an extraordinary level in this issue.

We begin in Germany and Iran with Eyes in Film to bring you a daring German/Iranian Film Director, Ali Samadi Ahadi. His film, ‘The Green Wave,’ has already made (and continues to make) a global impact with its innovative witness-document format shaped to reflect the time and terror before, during and after the 2009 Iranian elections. As we move to a more local collection, Eyes in Photography shows us the work of Dutch photographer Rene Clement. In his collection of images based in the small Iowan town, Orange City, Clement displays the charm, intrigue and fun that exists in the middle of the United States. The small town is peppered with windmills, houses with Dutch stair-step gable fronts and an abundance of tulips, and its cultural heritage is still profoundly presented with a modern flair, all captured in Clement’s intriguing creations. Very close to home, Eyes in Books gives you a peak into the life and works of author, teacher and documentarian Douglas Rushkoff. His inspiration—his unlimited access to people’s thoughts and ideas--has inspired countless readers to aspire to intellectual greatness, ideas which also can be seen in his latest book. We next jet off to Bangladesh: Eyes in Art-Bangladesh portrays the strength of art as a language--it deals with emotions and stories and sometimes contains poetic references using imagery and symbols, and the Bangladeshi artists have used this language to speak volumes about their heritage to the world. In Kyoto, Japan, we explore the culinary world of simplicity. Eyes in Culinary Arts opens to the Restaurant Kichisen and its Chef Yoshimi Tanigawa it delves into Kyoto cuisine and the expressions of sophistication, visual beauty and subtlety of taste. Eyes in Art brings us closer to the core of the worldwide Aleatoric Art Movement. An art born of natural causes that dares to leave some things purely to chance, Aleatoric art builds upon the natural to produce supernaturally gorgeous images. As we travel the distance to the beauty of Aleotorian art, we stay close to home to study three Aleotorian artists. Eyes in Magazine has collected the works of photographers J. Coleman Miller, Martin Waugh and Clark Little to illustrate the combination of nature and art at its best. Eyes in Art then takes us on a trip to the Gagosian Gallery in Switzerland, where the exhibition centered around the life and works of world-renowed artist/sculpturist Giacometti. From there we travel to Mongolia, where our Eyes in Culture reports about The Lunisolar New Year Festival, a special event heartened by goodwill and history that hopefully inspires our readers to visit Mongolia next year. If you go, be sure to follow the culture’s traditions: all business of the past year must be wrapped up, debts paid and good relationships restored before ringing in the New Year--an example for anybody anywhere on the globe. We hop to Paris next, where Eyes in Artists quotes Marcello Cinque in his statement, “Simplicity is simply hard to reach.” This fascinating Italian artist also thinks to be renewed is funny and invading a space is an ongoing challenge. His Parisian gallery shows us that…. Setting our eyes to Eyes in Travel – Real Estate, we discover an innovative touch of design and relaxation at The Ritz-Carlton Club, in Vail, that offers Members all the comforts of a vacation home coupled with the legendary, personalized services and amenities of The Ritz-Carlton. Thirsty for excitement after our relaxation, we travel to Abu Dhabi. Eyes in Travel and Architecture gives us a peak of the Ferrari Theme Park world, where the combination of mastering design, architecture and entertainment makes this a must-visit attraction for our readers. Slowing the pace a bit, we check in with artists Admir and Comenius in Eyes in Artists-Switzerland. Sitting down with he artists behind the amazing ‘Flying Saucers,’ Eyes in Magazine shows you their innovative designs and thought processes, both sure to make them some of the most promising artists of this century. Eyes in Architecture - Design then jets to Germany to show off Architect Stephen Williams’ Bugatti Club House, which houses the most amazing vehicle of beauty and intrigue. We end our trip in New York, where Japanese artist Taku Saito’s beautiful and intriguing self portraits speak to us. Eyes in Artists shows us that Saito’s inspiration--the fact that everyone has to face more death as life goes on—can portray the beauty in life. Eyes in New York also shows you the Spring Collection and a peek in the world of fashion Designer Cynthia Rowley. Next to her inspiring collection she is also a perfect example of a designer that makes a beautiful collaboration between art and design with an innovative touch.

For now Eyes in Magazine hopes to have given you enough vibe for life, art and travel-enjoy reading!
