Diversity Direct Creates the First Community Based Procurement Tool for Small and Diverse Businesses

iversity Direct, an innovative and patent-pending solu- tion that connects small, diversity suppliers with large


businesses, has created the first community based procure- ment technology platform. The tool, Diversity Connect, is available to mid-size and large businesses that are interested in improving the effectiveness of their Diversity Outreach Programs. Small, diverse businesses will use this tool to of- fer their human capital based services to major organizations in all markets. The technology enables the entire goodwill solution


to be successful and to connect valuable diversity part- ners to organizations that are truly committed to a com- munity-based procurement strategy. With a dozen clients, and hundreds of diversity partners engaged at the com- munity level, Diversity Direct has enabled over $6 mil- lion to be injected into economically depressed commu- nities, strengthened the balance sheets of our partners, and contributed positively to our clients out-reach effort. The tool is ca- pable of managing all temporary, permanent, 1099 (IC), and other staffing requirements, and is also becoming a portal for employee management. Within this tool, clients have the ability to create and track timecard data that can be directly imported to Quick Books. The screen scraped timecard data for supplier candidates generate invoices in Diversity Con- nect that suppliers can approve in the system. This process has been helpful in expediting timely payments for suppliers participating in our receivables funding program. In the upcoming days, Diversity Connect plans to imple- ment automatic generation of customer and supplier invoic-
