Contracting Business Growth Jordan Transportation, a subsidiary of Student Transpor-


tation of America (STA), purchased Kevah Konner, Inc., and added more than 100 school buses and $4.8 million in annual revenue. STA acquired Jordan Transportation, which has been in operation for more than half a century, in September of 2009. Jordan Transportation had 135 school buses in its fleet with annualized revenues of $7.2 million. Kevah Konner has been in the pupil transportation business since 1936. STA also acquired Ridge Road Express, a wholly-owned


subsidiary of Grand Island Transit Corp., and Scholastic Trans- portation Management Services, Inc., of Lockport, N.Y. Te deal was expected to be immediately accredited to shareholders of its common stock and was expected to add more than 320 ve- hicles and annualized revenues of more than $16 million as well as six new transportation facilities to the company’s portfolio, which now numbers more than 40 companies. Meanwhile, Durham School Services acquired Vogel Bus


Company of Roselle, N.J. Durham adds approximately 195 buses and annual revenues in excess of $13 million. Vogel has been in the pupil transportation business in New Jersey and New York for the past 50 years. Vogel was founded in 1953 and serves 40 cus- tomers throughout New Jersey with about 250 employees.
