Would you recommend the Bingo industry as a career, if so what are the qualities you consider important for success in this industry? Yes. There will be lots of new challenges for Bingo so an ability to innovate will be essential.


especially as land based Bingo is such a major UK employer? The Government seem reluctant to both regulate and/or tax the online bingo industry leaving us to compete on an uneven playing field. UK Bingo Halls provide the softest gambling product and pay the highest tax in the gaming industry.


What have been the achievements over the years that you are proudest of from the early days the to present? Firstly creating a modern Bingo Club from a disused Cinema shell in Eastbourne. Then maximising the occupational floor space.Secondly repairing the main structure of Hastings Pier which has enable it to still have a future beyond the devastating fire last year.


The Bingo tax of 20% imposed on UK Bingo Halls which although had a reduction from 22% by the last Government is at 20% crippling the industry, an industry that provides a safe and regulated environment, which will now be further hit by VAT increase none of which effects the online industry, is this fare


Technology now is progressing incredible quickly with gaming jurisdictions in many parts of the World moving at varying speeds slots can be linked progressives so Bingo halls can enable them to have a far higher jackpot if they are linked up with other halls, wouldn’t that also be a step forward for the industry? Yes it would, I can see no reason why progressive jackpots should not be provided in any regulated gaming environment.


Why can’t Bingo Halls be linked with those in mainland Europe which will result in far higher jackpot payouts and greatly assist the industry in these challenging times? The technology already exists to allow a European Bingo Game. I’m sure that Bingo Halls throughout Europe would benefit from large jackpot as can be


seen in the Euro Lotto Sales.


And finally have you any particular personal ambitions still to accomplish, for example involving travel or sport? I love travelling and there are still many countries mainly in the far east that I would like to visit.
