Greg Maxey Greg Maxey passed away on October 16, 2010 at Anne
Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland. He was 53 years old. He began his parking career in 1979 shortly after attending The University of Tulsa where he studied Business Administration. He worked for Central Parking up until 2009 where he undertook various roles in 12 states, relocated to Amsterdam, and successfully established and developed the European armof the company. Over his thirty year career, his accomplishments also included opening companies in Greece, Spain, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, The Czech Republic and Hungary. His success then took himto theUKwhere he became the
European Managing Director, overseeing all on and off-street operations both on the Continent and in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Upon returning to theWashington, DC area he served as SeniorVice President where he was instrumental in leading the restructuring and expansion of theWashington, DC organization. Most recently, Greg was welcomed as a partner of One
Parking inWashington DC where he and the company were looking forward to applying his parking knowledge and pas- sion for the industry along with his relationships in thismarket. Greg is well known in the industry by many as a bright, witty and fun individual that will live on in ourmemories. Greg is survived by his mother, his two brothers, Lance
and Brad, and his partnerWalter. Services for Greg were held onThursday October 21st at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newman Funeral Home, P.A. in Annapolis Maryland. Details for the service can be found on their website at www.fhnfuneral-

Peter Lange Named Head of Transportation
Services at Texas A&M TexasA&M University announces that Peter Lange has
been named Executive Director for the department of Trans- portation Services. Peter has served in the department for the last 7 years and most recently as Interim Executive Director. Peter has been a leader in the parking industry for over 10 years, contributing expertise in the areas of marketing, com- munications, special events, visitor parking, information tech- nology, HR, payroll, permits and customer service. Prior to working at Texas A&M Peter was systems
administrator and assistant director for Georgia Tech’s Park- ing and Transportation department in Atlanta Georgia. In his ten years at Georgia Tech and Texas A&M Peter has imple- mented numerous software applications and web enabled the majority ofA&M’s parking process. Peter is a member and past chairman of T2 Systems Customer Advisory Board, member of the Texas Parking Association and a member of the International Parking Institute.
