The Harman Group

The Chestnut Street Garage is a 7 story finely detailed, precast garage in the heart of historic downtown West Chester in Pennsylvania. The Harman Group and their consultants met the challenges of cost, aesthetics and functionality to provide a garage meeting the needs of all involved. Through a series of public meetings with vocal neighborhood discussions, the design was produced by mastering the compromises necessary with both public and private input. The result was a successful, beautiful parking structure that supports the community.

The construction of the project overcame the difficulties of demolition of a 4 story post tensioned garage, the heaviest snows on record in the area and one of the wettest springs to be built on time and below budget.
