INDULGENCES outrageous by jizzona straynger Oh hi poodles! Can you believe another year has come and gone?! The older I get the faster they

go. This year has been a whirlwind of excitement, amazing parties, great shows, and of course some drama. Ain’t no drama like drag drama! I’ve been fortunate to travel all over Southern California, from San Diego all the way up to San Fran-Tranny. I had the privilege of performing with the Dirty Bitches in Puerto Vallarta at the Blue Chair Resort and even hit the east coast up for a gay ol’ time with the National Gay Pilot’s Association’s Cape Cod Classic in Provincetown. Let me just say, it isn’t easy getting around with hair the size of mine, but bless its’ soul, we managed to survive. This time last year I was performing with the Tammie Brown and Lady VaJayJay for a very special engagement for the Center of Long Beach annual Holiday Auction. Speaking of fundraising, be- tween all of our shows at Hamburger Mary’s for Courage Campaign, the special AIDS Lifecycle Big Hair Bingo of Santa Ana, and the various other special events sponsoring the LGBT community throughout L.A. and SoCal, we’ve raised close to $25,000! A very special thank you goes out to all of those who have supported my dear sister, Lady VaJayJay and myself. We couldn’t have done it without you all. This year I’ve managed to rub shoulders with some pretty amazing people. I spent an evening with Jeff Timmons, formerly of 98 Degrees. Each year, Jeff hosts a special Grammy party at the Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills. There was a fierce red carpet with tons of celebrity sightings. After a little “meet-and-greet” with Jeff, we were surprised by an impromptu performance of “Because of You” and “Invisible Man”. I spent some time down in San Diego with some of my very best friends enjoying the beach

and of course cocktails at some of my favorite watering holes. I was honored to participate in, “So You Think You Can Drag,” hosted at Lips. I was blessed to make it to the finals, only because I competed against a stand-up comedian drag king, who, let’s be honest, can’t beat a busty, big-haired hot mess like myself. Not to mention a Sharpie-drawn mustache with a lip-synced stand-up comedy routine, is not as entertaining as me loosing my tit on stage while spew- ing beer across the audience.

your shoes!” I was also honored to have been asked to perform with the girls of San Diego for the Drag Spec-

tacular on the main stage of San Diego’s Pride Festival; another shining moment in my history as a performer. Luckily for me, the interpreter for the hearing impaired guests knew the words to my song better than I did. She was amazing, but I still looked great, or so I was told. Like I’ve always said, you’ve either got to have talent or a look. Clearly, we all know which category I fall into. This year also launched the start of a whole new career for me! I was introduced and included

into the Beauty Society family. I’ve traveled with the founder and president, Jeannie Lorin and celebrity makeup artist Nathan Johnson. I’ve made several special appearances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dallas representing the Beauty Society brand. I love my sister Divas at Beauty Society and am excited for many more memorable moments and appearances representing this great brand across California and the rest of the country coming in 2011. Speaking about celebrities! Where to even begin? I think the most excited my lady parts got

was when I was present on the red carpet for the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles. I met the cast of Glee, including Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Kurt Hummel and Amber Riley. I also got a lovely picture with actor George Takei and his husband, Brad Altman. The real heart attack came when singer Adam Lambert held the Jizzy Doll! Other than his party-pooper publicist quickly removing the doll from his hand, and out of camera view, it was a special mo- ment, one I will not soon forget. 2010 has had it challenges, no doubt. We’ve seen some extreme highs and extreme lows. Our

country has been through the ringer and back again, luckily, without too many wrinkles. The entire year was not a bust, we must give some props to the overturn of the infamous, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” policy. Finally we are seeing progress for our community. For all you out there fighting the good fight, I send you my best wishes in this new year. May your struggles not be made in vain. For the rest of you, screw the New Year’s resolutions! Why set yourself up for disappointment?

Last year I decided my resolution was going to be to get active and start jogging everyday. Then I realized the problem with jogging is that the ice falls out of your cocktail. Remember poodles, it wouldn’t be New Year’s if we didn’t have a few regrets. Live it up like there’s no tomorrow!
