What is Your Small Business Really Selling? A workshop designed to help you clarify “What’s In It For Me?” for your customers
A
re you a new small business owner or practitioner who is struggling to gain clarity on your product or service business? Come to the Total Life Care (TLC) Center in Norwalk on January 28th from 10am – 12pm and spend a fun-filled two hours with experienced marketer Jennifer Covello, learning how to define the real benefits of your product or service busi- ness. Consumers want to know how you help make their lives easier, more fulfilled, and less stressful. To be successful, you must position your business from the outside in and be able to articulate how the customer can benefit from doing business with you.
During this interactive workshop, you will learn how to define and clarify your business idea (your mission), describe
what makes your product or service offering different (your unique selling proposition), determine who would buy it (your target audience), and develop a way to tell people about it (your marketing plan). Award-winning author and TLC member, Jennifer Covello, is the mother of two children, and owner and founder of Frit- tabello, LLC, a collection of baby gifts developed and inspired by angelic visions and messages she has received. Ms. Covello has over 25 years experience in IT and Marketing with expertise in product and brand management, business development, marketing communications, sales support, and training.

Women of Wellness—WOW! I
n Fairfield County, WOW stands for Women of Wellness, a group of independent health and wellness professionals dedi- cated to providing a broad spectrum of services to women and families at all stages of the reproductive or pre-reproductive
cycle.
In 2009 Dr. Risa Sloves - a Norwalk Chiropractic physician, Board Certified in Maternity and Pediatric Care who had been leading the Fairfield County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network - realized many of her monthly speakers and partici- pants were highly educated healthcare practitioners who specialized in pre- through post-natal and early childhood educa- tion. Wondering how this group could support the community in a holistic way from an educational standpoint Dr. Sloves and 12 other women formed the networking group WOW. There are currently 17 women in WOW and their specialties include: Acupuncture/herbal medicine (Elaine Malin and Stephanie Coogan), Childbirth Education/HynpoBirthing (Cynthia Overgard), Chiropractic care (Risa Sloves), CPR certifica- tion and training (Lynn Blank), labor doula (Jodi Green), fertility (Alexandra McLaughlin), lactation (Lorna Alitperti), massage therapy/infant massage instruction (Jan Scaglia), midwifery Eliza Holland and Jodi Stone), naturopathy (Louise Napoli), pediat- rics (Diana Lopusny), physical therapy (Heather Strauch), postpartum support (Maryanne Farrell), pre and post-natal exercise/ yoga (Lynn Blank and Ann Katz), and psychotherapy (Sara Jamison). The women of WOW volunteer their time and expertise at the Malta House in Norwalk, a residence program for moth-
ers, their children and expectant mothers. WOW providers have participated in the Mother’s Day 5K walk/run to benefit the American Heart Association, and were a part of the “On Fertile Ground” event this past October. There are plans to present educational events to the community in the coming months.
