coach Van Allen obtained his 200th win in a victory against Carolina Day on Dec. 9. Allen, who has been the Erwin boys’ varsity coach for 14 seasons, has coached a variety of sports for 30 years, including foot- ball, softball, baseball, wrestling and golf. “I coached three sports every year


for many of the years,” said Allen. He said this is his last season coach- ing basketball and he will retire in March. Allen started his teaching and
