Lee’s Creek is normally several
inches deep. Te recent snow melt and rain brought the water level up enough to float these shallow draft one-man canoes. Residents Jake Ament and Eli Helbert trav- eled down Lee’s Creek in specially made whitewater canoes. Property damage remains a
concern after vandals damaged Corinth Baptist Church. Fifth-grade students at Leices-
ter Elementary organized a fund- raiser to benefit a fellow classmate who had recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. With the help of teachers, they raised over $2,000.
