World Quest team both represent- ed well in national events and the school’s chamber choir won first place in New York City’s Heritage


Festival. Te band won multiple awards


during competitions throughout the fall as well. Senior Mary Lambert had an in-


teresting idea, prompting 50 of her fellow students to carry around their trash for a week to illustrate waste in a project she called “Stay Classy, Not Trashy.” At Woodfin Elementary School, student Korie Wagner was recog-


nized as Star 104.3 FM Star Kid of the Week. At Weaverville Elementary School,


locals pitched in to complete con- struction on a greenhouse. At North Buncombe Middle


School, beloved teacher Carol Talbot retired after 46 years of teaching. At Weaverville Primary School,


students dressed in fun, fall apparel for a downtown candy run at Hal- loween.
