National EMS Academy
The National EMS Academy (NEMSA) is a division of Acadian Ambulance Service focused on providing educational services to the EMS industry. From initial certification classes to continuing education, our instructors work diligently to create a positive learn- ing environment for our students.
NEMSA offers EMT-Basic and Paramedic certification courses in nine locations throughout Louisiana and Texas. Over 500 stu- dents take the EMT-Basic course and over 250 students take the Paramedic course each year. In order to enhance their learning experience, our students are placed in real-life situations to eval- uate and enhance their life-saving skills.
The Academy’s online educational website,
OnlineNEMSA.com, provides both self-paced, computer-based training (CBT) and also virtual, instructor-led training (VILT) for your continuing education needs. All of our courses are hosted in a user-friendly Learning Management System for easy access and reporting. Our goal is to provide our students with a quality educational product, delivered online to reduce cost and time commitments.
