As many of you are winding down your summer season and are planning for Florida’s Fair season, there’s a gigan- tic trade show and convention, once again back in Orlando, Florida you should see. This event is the IAAPA Attrac- tions Expo taking place at the Orange County Convention Center during the week of November 15th.


This is the largest trade show in the amusement industry and covers over 1million square feet of convention space. Last year this show was in Las Vegas and beginning in 2012, this show has contracted to stay in Orlando for the next ten years!


Florida fair management who have responsibility for ride operations, food and games and well as other attractions can attend some of the best educational programs in the amusement industry plus see what’s new in rides, games and food. Don’t miss Wednesday evenings “Carnival Amusement Industry and Showman's Reception” at the Convention Center on Wednesday evening from 6 - 7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to see old friends and meet new friends in a casual setting with drinks and snacks, before you head out to dinner on I-Drive.


OABA members can take advantage will receive the regis- tration fees as IAAPA members. Be sure to register to receive the Advance rate of $129 by November 4th. After this date and at the IAAPA Attractions EXPO the registra- tion fee will be $159.


Many Florida carnival owners and food concessionaires attend this convention to get a jumpstart on what’s new and exciting for the future. This is a wonderful experience and networking opportunity with carnival owners to see the fu- ture of the amusement industry. Talk to your carnival owner and make arrangements to meet them in Orlando.
