Te Weaverville Police Depart-
ment recognizes the importance of police and community partner- ships. To that extent, the department
is inviting all town citizens to an event at 6 pm on Monday (Aug. 30)
and Tuesday (Aug. 31) at the com- munity room at Weaverville Town Hall that will highlight the roles the department fills in the community. Tere will be equipment dis-
plays, information about traffic, safety, community police and ABC
enforcement, child identification, senior citizen safety and residential and business security. For more information, call 645-

County Sheriff’s Office responded, and investigators were able to track down the suspects after they wrecked a short time later. Andrea Dawn Minardi and Lind- sey Paige Metcalf were arrested and
charged with robbery and assault. Brown, who has been with the
store for more than two years, did not want the attention at first, but she said she now sees the experience as an opportunity to let others know of their options in similar harrowing circumstances.

child. Weaverville Primary School,
Weaverville Elementary School and North Windy Ridge School buses deliver children to the church each Wednesday. Parents must write a note to the schools to give their permission for their child to arrive at the church. Permission slips can be picked
up at the church and must be filled out before a child may attend the program. Call the church office at 645-6720 for more information.
