Jo Robinson Wheeler Barnardsville - Jo Robinson


Wheeler, 82, of 16 Riverside Drive, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was born in Buncombe


County to the late Julius Creed and Iowa Anderson Robinson and was the widow of the late Arthur Thomas Wheeler. Jo and her husband oper- ated the AT Wheeler Grocery Store from 1962-1983. Mrs. Wheeler was a former employee of Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office as jailer, at which time she received her GED and completed Justice Academy Course at age of 60. She was also a member of Barnardsville Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters,


Faye Hensley and Deborah Gard- ner; three sons, Thomas P. Wheel- er, Kenneth C. Wheeler and Charles L. Wheeler; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family received friends from

Madge Hensley Buckner Weaverville – Madge H. Buckner,


92, of 1 Clinton Street passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. Mrs. Buckner was born Sept.


7, 1917, in Buncombe County to the late Cecil L. and Ester Queen Hensley. Madge was a valued em- ployee of Conrad Industries for 25 years and a Charter Member of Woodland Hills Church. She was the wife of the late Eugene “Gene” Buckner who died in 1962. She was also preceded in death by her sons, David, Buddy and Don Buckner; grandson, Dennis; sisters, Ethel

Marvin worked as a painter for most of his life and enjoyed riding his Harley. He was a son of the late James E. and Edna Mae Banks Anderson. Surviving are his wife of 41 years,
