CHAIRMAN’SCHATTER G ood evening,

Welcome to Damson Park for this Evenings Blue Square Bet North match against Eastwood Town.

We would like to offer our usual warm welcome to the Officials, Players and Supporters who have made the journey from Eastwood to Solihull. Hopefully they will enjoy their visit.

Hopefully printers and designers permitting should see the birth of our new style programme containing many more articles which hopefully you will find of interest. John Clothier our programme editor will always welcome any articles you may wish to publish.

Any of you will have seen the Non League Paper’s article regards Television rites for The Blue Square Bet Conference. This has been confirmed by the conference office and a deal has been agreed with a new Sports channel which will show thirty Blue Square Bet Premier matches this season including play offs. The agreement will run for three years. The financial terms have yet to be made public and whilst the figures will not be as high as the Setanta agreement it will give The Conference TV coverage. A unique part of this deal concerns the subscription money paid

by subscribers fifty percent of which will be returned to The Conference. The monthly subscription is believed to £6-99 per month. As I understand it the channel will be available regardless of whether you subscribe to Sky. The first match

to be shown will be Grimsby against Luton Town. Once I have further information I will keep you informed.

On the football side following our bright start against Blyth Spartans we have suffered two away defeats. At Stafford we dominated the first half but a spirited fight back by the home side saw them score what was to be the match winning goal. Again against Harrogate we conceded an early goal and although we created chances a dubious second half penalty killed of any hopes of a point.

Our new website is now live on www.solihullmoorsfc.co.uk whilst not yet the finished article it will run for a month after which we will make any changes deemed necessary.

The next home match is on Saturday when Gloucester City are the visitors.
