Whole Earth Provision Company Adds Another Dallas Store

T

he Austin-based specialty retailer Whole Earth Provision Company recently opens its second store on September

1 at 11700 Preston Road, in the Preston Forest Shopping Center in Dallas. The company opened its very first store in Austin in 1978 and continues to offer a broad array of innovative, earth-friendly products for those who share a commitment to learning about, experiencing, preserving and enjoying the earth.

The original Whole Earth Provision Company inventory included such things as flour mills, massage oils, how-to and travel books, and lightweight camping equipment such as tents, backpacks, and sleeping bags. Over the years, and with the opening of six additional stores across Texas, Whole Earth Provision Company has grown to include extensive green-living, earth-friendly, educational and fun products, including shoe and clothing departments for casual and active wear; gear to equip almost any outdoor need; accessories such as Swiss Army knives, sunglasses, and compasses; nature-oriented gifts such as wind chimes, bird feeders, and hammocks; and toys.

Whole Earth Provision Company joins other purvey- ors and supporters of healthy- and green-living and envi-

ronmentally conscious products, including Whole Foods Market, Joann Fabrics and the new Natural Grocers store that’s opening across the street in the Preston Forest Village Shopping Center.

Several weekends of special activities are planned to celebrate opening of the newest Whole Earth Provision Store. Beginning September 10, and lasting through Octo- ber, each weekend will feature door prizes and giveaways, with representatives from manufacturers of outdoor cloth- ing, gear, and footwear, such as Patagonia, The North Face, Eagle Creek, Teva, Merrell, Reef, Smartwool, ExOfficio, Ugg, and many more. Times and dates for all activities are posted on the store’s website at www.WholeEarthProvision. com, or call 972-861-5700.
