“Embrace your individuality. Be tranquilo.”
JENNIFER ALTERMAN started Rescue Yoga in 2003 after leaving the U.S. Army. She needed a healthy way to stay in shape and had the desire to help others with their health and wellness goals. She and her husband, Rickey, support the community with their knowledge of yoga and Tai Chi. Rescue Yoga is Carrollton’s home to beginner yoga, specializing in teaching people to reconnect with their bodies and pro- moting healing through traditional yoga and breathing techniques. Classes are designed to help restore the mental, physical and emo- tional balance that is disturbed due to daily stressors. No need for fancy clothes or acces- sories; classes are taught in street clothes, so anyone can do it.
